Take a look at Claude Monet Foundation
In 1883 Claude Monet, the pioneer of Impressionist painting, moved with his family to Giverny, a tiny village located 75 kilometres from Paris. It was there that he devoted the second half of his life to the creation of the wonderful garden that inspired him in his painting. The artist spent three decades composing hundreds of paintings inspired by water lilies and other marvels in his Japanese garden. Today, the house and gardens are maintained as they were a century ago. As you walk through his garden and house, you get a real feel for the atmosphere that surrounded the master of Impressionism.
