Amazing tour in the famous Champagne region

Departure at 8 O'clock. With your licensed museum docent and art historian driving a luxury sedan, you will ride to the East of Paris, to the well-known Champagne region.

After a two hours drive through the French countryside, you will arrive at the foot of the Mountain of Reims, surrounded by vineyards, and you will have you first contact with the Champagne region, with a local family producing their own Champagne. You will visit their cellar and factory, and have a better understanding on how Champagne can be made by hand.

Then you will have a tasting of the Champagne (included in your tour). After having Champagne in the morning, you will definitely feel better, and your guide will take you to Dom Perignon's grave, located in a Church on the top of the mountain, with a stunning view on the vineyards.

Road to Reims, for you to have lunch by the opera house or the place d'Erlon.

After lunch, you will enter the cathedral of Reims with your guide, and see its stunning stained-glass windows painted by Chagal. You guide will drive you to your second visit of a Champagne cellar, bigger and more well-known, such as Veuve Cliquot, Ruinard or Moet & Chandon for example (not included in the tour, please let us know which Champagne house you booked and at what time so we can arrange). After your second visit and tasting, road back to your hotel in Paris for 6pm, finally knowing it all about Champagne.

For lunch, it is possible to organise a high-end picnic in the vineyards with a stuning view, with a traditional picnic basket, porcelain plates, glass glasses and metal fourks and knifes, a bottle of Champagne, fresh sandwiches like “baguette jambon-fromage” and seasonnal fruits (+300€).
