From a building belonging to Marquise Rossi, entrepreneur Fernandes commissioned the construction of a new building, which opened in 1964 under the direction of Mr. Naldi, Fernandes’ son-in-law. Ponti carried out a hotel model with a new shape and concept, to accommodate a high number of clients. The project includes two-hundred rooms with bathroom and panoramic balcony, two American bars, a beauty parlour, a garage, restaurants and event rooms able to host more than one-thousand people.
Over the years “Il Parco” becomes home to many celebrities, including singers, actors, politicians and royals. The hotel establishes itself as a first-level facility attracting a demanding clientele thanks to its high-quality services, fine dining and luxurious interiors.
The Parco dei Principi’s design and furniture style is refurbished by architects Massimo and Maurizio Papiri, who take inspiration from the pomposity and opulence of late 17th century noble villas.
With the construction of the Prince Spa, the Parco dei Principi in effect becomes an Urban Resort set in the centre of Rome, under the name Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa. Nowadays the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Rome’s most iconic hotels, not to mention its new welcome and hospitality standards, the largest conference centre and the largest spa in the heart of Rome.
